THe Linux on iPod project released an install for running Linux on you 3G (or earlier)

iPod. THis is much easier than previously trying to hack away to get Linux to work. I am a n00b and got the install right away. It improve functionality alot (record at higher level, cool games, neater) and is a very impressive release. Sorry if this has already been posted but I am excited about this.

i would edit the above ut i carnt, just wanted to add that if you have an Ipod i would try this, it gies you a dual boot option and it is very decent firmware, the new games are cool and there are lots of features, installis in about 1 min and then you can start using it strightaway, if you dont like it it even allows for a backup to me made during instaltiona dn keeps a copy on you pod and HD so you can uninstall at any time. really glad somebody made this
