Okay, I have a very strange problem that I hope somewhere here has encountered before. It started occurring after I installed Tiger. I am sitting here with Adium iTunes, and Safari up, nothing else. I brought up a finder window and periodically checked it throughout the hour. I started with a gig of free space left on my computer and it slowly whiled it's way down to zero.

Any idea what might be wrong or how I can fix it?

how much ram do you have? maybe it's the virtual ram took all the space... try restart it and see if it's back?

You might have something buggy that is filling up the system logs as well.

Close or minimize all of your windows so you can get to your desktop. Click anywhere on the desktop NOT occupied by an icon or anything else, then press cmd-j on your keyboard. Make sure "Show item info" is checked.

I did exactly what you said and nothing showed up, then I repaired permissions and it shows up now. Thanks smile.gif

Well, I don't have virtual memory running and according to menu meters only 50% ish of my memory is being used. However, a restart did fix it.. weird. unsure.gif

Download the app 'WhatSize' and you will see exactly what is using your HD space.
