I know there's a tweak you can use to make gnome apps look good under kde, but is there one for making kde apps look good under gnome?
Font sizes in my kde apps are quite large and I'd like to make them a bit smaller... any ideas?
You can change them with Kcontrol. At least that's what I did on Ubuntu, I first had to download it though with apt-get.

Thanks for the tip, it worked great... having only used linux for 10 days... must say I'm very impressed. There's no way I'll be heading back to Xtremely Painful anytime soon ;-)

You could also use gtk-qt in a Gnome environment, and use KDE styles for everything. There are quite a few neat styles for KDE (Plastik, Plastik2 from KDE SVN, Lipstick).
But then again, you could also use Kubuntu... :-)
