Internet Explorer allows sites to copy information to and from the clipboard. I think Firefox allows that functionality if you add the site to your trusted-sites list but I'm not entirely certain about that. Opera denies the functionality altogether.
Personally, I think the functionality should be denied altogether. If I want the information to be copied to my clipboard then I'll do it myself, I could have customer information copied into my clipboard (multi-tasking between Office and Opera, for example) and I could lose it. Or, if sites were allowed to copy information from the clipboard then they could get ahold of passwords, credit card numbers, etc. If they really want the information in my clipboard then they should ask me for it and I'll decide wether or not it's safe. The functionality is dangerous and web developers should not have control over the clipboard, in my honest opinion.
