Hey people, I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to recharge an ipod shuffle. I bought one a week ago and, according to the manual, plugged it in to my computer's USB port. Nothing happened...
Help?

Leave it in your computer USB, and it will charge. That's basically how it charges.

You might be plugging it into an unpowered USB port. Try plugging it into a different port on your PC, or if you're using a hub connect it directly to the PC.

when you hook it up to put music on it, it charges it at the same time. i am guessing you have a working usb port...

It takes like four hours to charge completely. If you have disk mode enabled, you should eject it in itunes (click on the eject symbol to the right of the ipod in your "source" section of itunes (right side of screen) then the yellow light wont blink, it will stay on solid and it will be charging.

Through a powered USB 2.0 port using Windows XP or Mac OS X, or through the USB Power Adapter (not included).

that would be incorrect. The blinking light means "Do Not Disconnect". Lights relating to battery are a solid amber(charging), or solid green (charge completed)

lol, i can't tell the difference between any of the colors, but the card that came with the shuffle sure had all that info.

Apparently my laptop's USB ports were all unpowered...that's why. When I plugged the shuffle into my desktop's USB ports, the light went on like a sweet muffin
