Im looking for a good webcam (but cheap) that will work with iChat and Yahoo messenger on OSX (its not for me)

I don't know about Yahoo! Messenger, but I am fairly sure there is a program around for OS X that allows you to use a USB webcam (instead of an iSight). That said, any $30 Logitech webcam at Wal-Mart would probably work fine with iChat if you got the name of that program.

What seems to crash Yahoo with that driver is when you disconnect the video feed. If you simply pause it, things seem to be fine. My wife uses an ancient Creative Webcam II USB with that driver in Yahoo. I originally bought that camera back in 1998 for about the price that an iSight is now
blink.gif but it is still working fine!

I can't get my Logitech Pro 4000 to work in iChat. For some reason though it works fine with image capture blink.gif

Anybody know a solution? Other than shelling out more £££ for a new camera sad.gif

Have you installed the iChatUSBcam patch someone mentioned earlier? Without it, iChat will only work with FireWire cameras.
