Never really used/had a server before, but someone that I'm doing volunteer work for offered me a server to mess around with for free. He says it has Server 2000 Enterprise on it right now and he's getting a Server 2003 trial or something for it as well. I don't have the server yet, as he has to wipe it clean of sensitive data, but when I get it, what should I try?
Just want to get familiar with it and learn all about it.
Thanks.

And take it slow. Also write down every thing you do and the order you do it in. That way when you come to build it for real, you just follow the steps. You won't miss out that all important step or setting.
Oh and read....

Once you have the server its self, read the Windows Help. Contains lots of well written help for the first time admin.
