i remember about a year back there was a minamilistic desktop thread. what ever happend to it. i remember people were posting non-minamilistic stuff, did it just get out of control? time to start a new one?

I betting blank desktops got a bit boring after a while, so they just merged them into the normal desktops.

The thing its that it was a hell incarnate to moderate. Im not interested un creating another one.

blank = boring (imo)
minimal = ok, and quite sexy maybe.

But when people include blank in minimal that's just pointless.

we should have the same rules as the desktop threads..

That and people were posting regular desktops. [sanctified] had clear rules for what was considered minimal but people still ignored the rules. I would like to see it come back though.

i like the minimalistic stuffz also. i have/made a minimalist desk. i prefer text only in the UI. I hate that icons in the UI.

I took minimal to mean 'clutter-free'.

I have such a short attention span that I can't get any work done with loads of temping icons everywhere.

I hope this is "minimalistic" enough. I like it.
