Would there be enough need for a Homework forum? I see problems asked now and then in the general forum, and wonder if it would help to have such a forum wink.gif

Thats a good idea. I had a couple homework questions asked for my computer class a couple times. I got all "a"'s on them thanks to neowin of course wink.gif

Edit: But... if you think about it, you could probably all ready post it in a related thread.

hehe. the Tutor thread:D

useful, but is it maybe micromanaging a bit too much?

Would be useful....maybe we should make Education Forum ? biggrin.gif

I agree... I think this would be an excellent idea. I dont usually ask homework questions on this forum, but I'm sure if their was a specific forum I would probably ask a question from time to time... Plus, a lot of people are willing to help eachother out and threads asking for homework help go at least a few pages. I think it would be a beautiful addition to the forums, and it could relate pretty well.

No. I think it is a rather poor idea. These kinds of posts can just as easily belong in general. There is no need to categorise everything. Too many forums or sub forums equals clutter. It is not necessary. Ultimately Neowin is a tech site. We are not here to help you with your homework. Just keep this stuff to general. This does not warrant a new forum.

Nah, I'm sure there are people here who can help you with all those things - we just don't need a seperate forum for everthing, toiletries, pets... biggrin.gif

The problem is that in a lot of the existing homework threads I've seen, half the people will say "do it yourself" or "this isn't a homework help forum".

It may also encourage people to just ask for straight answers for entire homesworks (i've seen people do that as well)
