Full Version: Firefox no longer "safe"

Sup,

Major problem en it's buging the **** out of me:

Everytime I start Firefox, it, or whatever it is, installs the mallware VX2 on my rig. I tryed everything to remove is. Cleaned buffers, removed temps, cleared all Inet settings, 3 differend spyware programs, and still keeps coming back realmad.gif

Stupid question, have you tried uninstalling Firefox to see if that clears it out?

firefox was never safe. no browser is safe. good luck.

Try uninstalling Firefox and then do a clean install with a new profile. If it still happens, check the thread slimy posted.

Well, it didn't worked, but i got a plug-in for ad aware called VX2cleaner. That got rid of all the problems.

Yeah, it's not that Netscape4, or any of the Gecko-based browsers, or even Opera are particularly that great, it's just that IE has been so overwhelmingly BAD in the past, and now only partially ameliorated if you're using XPSP2.
