Still one bug keeping this skin away from perfection unfortunately:

hope you can fix this binary, this has to be the best look windows has ever had, its much better than anything ever released, even by microsoft
edit: this occurs when there are too many windows open for the start bar to display, so it moves them onto two lines (yeh,i know microsoft can put them into a menu, but i like them better this way

)
wouldnt call that a bug since xp isnt supposed to use that resolution lol.
i use 1024, i just set it to 640 for a smaller pic

I've known about that bug since the very first version. Nobody has EVER mentioned it, in fact having that many buttons on the taskbar is very unlikely to ever happen. I think your just knitpicking now

Chris
lol, i've always noticed it too, and it happens to me all the time, there are about 3 or 4 forums i browse, so when i get in from school i "shift-click" to open all the threads i want to view, i often end up with 40 or 50 open IE windows
i've just never mentioned it really, i always assumed someone else would've noticed it
sorry if you think it's nitpicking, and if you've noticed it since the beginning, i assume you can't fix it
either way, its the best, and most polished theme around

heh, i'd suggest looking into mozilla, phoenix, or opera, or even crazy browser or netcaptor.
really cleans that up.

because the whole theme is *cough*ed up! thats why!!!!! I need to do a whole redo of the theme again, I just noticed that the large and extra large fonts modes got screwed up somehow too. This is what happens when you try to please everyone

and have 4 diff colors to do it on.
/me goes crazy
claim down man,
if your 50+ you shouldnt be using watercolor therefore.. you don't need large or EXTRA large fonts come on now.

i've been dieing to get trillian pro.. well i have it.. whistler skin in ergonomic so it matches my watercolor desktop man post it or send me it something please! my email is iam@NOSPAMalexkelm.com remove nospam.
i dont really like grouping, as it's akward when you've got 40-50 windows, if its on the taskbar its just one click,
not click, scroll to the right window, click

Awesome. Watercolor still kicking I see. Just got back into Neowin after being idle for awhile. Been using Watercolor ever since. Good job Binary. As far as andrewfee's bug goes, I really see no need to even worry about it. Having 40-50 windows open at a time is just ridiculous.
ok, thanks binary, like everyone's said, its not a huge deal anyway
edit: yeah, i can see how it would seem ridiculous, but thats just how i use my pc

Hi, Binary. Watercolor is the primary theme of my little PC.
But I've encountered a probrem with checkbox on listview.
At 16bit and 24bit color mode, the non-hilighted checkboxes on listview are always shown as unchecked state, irrespective of its real state.
Please try following operation to see for the problem.
Set color mode to 16 or 24 bit.
Open Explorer.
Menu - "View", and select the item with accelerator "C"(I don't know menu item string of English version)
Is it fixable problem?
My PC can't deal 32bit color, and I'd like to use Watercolor permanently.
Sorry for my terrible English.

it's just an sfx archive. I dont do anything out of the ordinary. My style is smaller than other's with more substyles, simply because I have optimized it (by indexing), which also makes it compress better.

One thing i noticed after switching between the Windows Classic them and Binary's Watercolor theme is that the task text in the task bar is concatenated a bit prematurely; I think the taskbar would be far more attractive and more useable, if more of the text was displayed per element. Perhaps this has to do with the width of the border images for the taskbar. Binary, if you could improve this in your next revision, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Hope you get a chance to read this one lonely post out of hundreds. Thanks for a great theme, Binary.

There seems to be a similar issue with menus. The vertical spacing is quite large, and the black arrow for hierarchical menus, when selected is not completely covered with the highlight. Thanks.

The black arrow in the circle area seems to close to the edge of the blue selection highlight.
The distance marked by the red line seems too large.
Again, these comparisons are being made against the Windows Classic theme, which, I believe, is the most compact theme.
These are all really nit-picky issues, but when a theme is this far along, those are the only problems left

For me the black arrow doesn't seem to be that close to the highlight's edge, but it still does seem a little too close. As far as the distance between menu items... I'm pretty sure Binary has addresses that "issue" before (basically it's not).

And I can make the items closer, but I just dont think it looks right, because the highlight will just miss the top and bottom of full 16 pixel icons.
