Has there ever been times where there's this thing that you get really ****ed off about and you want to share it with the community, probably for the sake of defaming a company? In this forum, I suggest the ability to get on the soapbox about something that is really nagging you and get it off your chest.



My "dating" thread or someone else's "NTL stealing my money" thread would fit in the "soapbox" forum perfectly...

Hrm... I like the idea of a Soapbox forum on one hand, but then on the other I have to agree with timdorr. It could end up being an issue for Neowin as a whole, not to mention the mods alone.



The problem with a Soapbox in regards to letting something off your chest when it comes to a company is that it can be consider defamation, and there have been plenty of court battles over that in forums.



On the other hand it would keep alot of the "what the hell is the point of this?" type threads (no offense) out of some of the other forums. Then again we've had this discussion before, not even that long ago, and it's alway reiterated that the General forums are for this type of thing (if anything is).

Oh yes, I would be there all the time venting my frustrations with things. Love the idea! But it may be a target for flamers, though.
