this is old news but i have not seeing it posted. and since a lot of people like honda i think they might be interested of what is coming to the best selling family sedan
http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=362191the front remains mainly unchanged, besides a slight grill modification.
but in my opinion they did a good job at the read. LEDs are good and design, while very conservative, does look like it fits with the rest of the car.
it is a major improment from the current one

whacha think? the sedan will also be available with 6speed manual transmission (first for honda)
(guess hotlinking the images is not working, so here it is as attachment)

Edit: btw the back looks very similar to the new Mitsubishi Galant

no not really. i think i know the once you are talking about. but the only similarity would be the LEDs.
otherwise the galant lights are all angular and more square.

Looks like a mix of the current gen and the '95 accords.

yeah i figured. the one i saw actually had led lights (maybe an option from mistubishi? or maybe it is same as you picture, but looks diff in person)
but i did not post the side view of accord, which shows they are not really similar.
galant is really ugly in my opinion. not too keen on the square look of front headlights.

i'm liking the new rear end, but the front still needs some work. it's looking a bit unproportional.

it's an improvement over the current accord sedan, but i like the accord coupe. if they could make the sedan with that rear end, it'd be awesome.

exactly. coupe still looks better, because the back in fits with the rest of the car.

i just noticed something the other day.. why is that almost ALL asian vehicles front tires are closer to the door and almost all european cars' tires are pushed away from the doors.. and american cars tend to be in the middle..

well i think they will keep the coupe the same. i hope the are, though they might go for the LEDs too. but i am pretty sure they will not change it much - it looks good and they would have to differentiate it from sedan.
yeah a sedan with current coupe lights would be nice. looks like a mercedes from the back.

Looks like a Diamante rear end with the 1999-2003 Accord coupe front end.

They're always into changing the design of their cars and sadly as of late, they're starting to make them look just like the Acura's they also make. Why have 2 brands if they're going to be very similar in looks? Blah.

Nah....they need to "redesign" the outside of this car...it's too similar. I mean...give the poor thing a facelift!

You guys are crazy, I think the accord one of the best looking practical sedans out there. Way better than the crap most companies push out.

I saw one of these tonight... it defiantely was a test car.
The tail lights are annoyingly bright and distracting.
Everything else seems nice though.

yeah that is the problem with LED lights - they are very distracting in the dark. however it is thier main safety plus - you will definately see them and will want to slow down

It looks even more bloated now... Camry and the Accord just keep putting on the pounds. Style wise it is very generic and boring. I would never consider an appliance like this as my daily driver. It is just another boring car to blend in at the wal-mart parking lot..

I think the RL is the luxory Accord. Like Taurus-->Sable.
They look nice, a bit BMW-ish tho.
Hmm 6 speed on an Accord is overkill..with only like 200hp on the V6..why a 6 speed?

More companies are going this way to help aid underpowered cars. Take Audi for instance, they offer the 7 speed DSG on some cars.

God here in the UK our honda accord is stunning, not like the one in the first post in this thread. The new one for you guys is good though nice and chunky like our curent model.

The rear of that 2006 Accord is what should have been in place when the 2003 Accord was made. At least Hyundai took the back of the current Accord for their 2006 Sonata, LOL!
Oh, and wasn't that minor redesign of the Accord not due until the 2007 model?
