Okay so I loved the idea of the gameboy advance but hated the non backlit screen, really spoilt it for me sad.gif

The SP was exspensive and only seemed to give ME the benifits of the backlight however the micro sets to change all this.

I adore the size and want it to have some quick Nintendo action anywhere, its small enough to just throw in my pocket, unlike the psp or ds.

Now then i was wondering what games were avaliable on the advance platform therefore that i could run on the micro? and what are the best games avaliable.

To give you some ideas im looking at quick pickup. blast and put down again games...for example on my GBA i have....

Pacman
Pole position
dig dug
Supermario World (nes version)
Supermario 4 (nes version 3) or whatever its called
Asteroids
Missile command
Doom
Ms Pacman
Centipede
Street fighter
Sonic Advance
Tony hawks pro skater 2
GT advance
Galaxian
Galaga

And i was looking at monkey ball GBA and zelda (nes)

so im clearly into my retro gaming and love the idea of a portable nintendo but im really looking for some recomedations that are fun and a quick blast rather than in depth and involved games such as advance wars.

So if anyone has any suggestions im all ears

(im getting the micro regardless this is about games not what is the best console etc)

Why waste money on a micro when you can get a ds for $30 more. It has a bigger and better screen. True the DS isn't as small as the micro but the face (like the PSP) will prob get tore up in your pocket...

Astro Boy: Omega Factor, made by Treasure biggrin.gif.

I recommend Wario Ware. I have the first one and it is a great pick up and go game. There is also a newer one. Either would be great choices.

There is also the GBA Zelda game, The Minish Cap. It was a nice game albeit quite short.

For your RPG fix, Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age are great.

GBA has a ton of good games, I'd check places like http://pocket.ign.com

Pokemon Yellow, Silver, and Ruby are good. smile.gif
CY:G
Kirby: The amazing mirror and the Donkey Kong Series (SNES)
.....
The best games, in my opinion, in no particular order are:

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Castlevania: Harmond of Dissonance
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Zero Mission
icecaveman
The Lost Vikings is the best game ported to the GBA ever!
Blackthorne is OK but rather dark mood.

Oddly enough they are both games by Blizzard
SoulSphere
What about the Golden Sun series. Those were very cool. Is there a third one planned for the DS?

Don't buy the micro plz... if I can't change your mind, might as well get a magnifying glass to go with it.

Metroid Fusion + Zero Mission

GET METROID: ZERO MISSION! Awsome game, but sooo puzzling at points. Amazing. Especially the end level when you going all stealthy. As soon as a guard saw you it was over and then I'd scream "SH*T!" Really amazing.

Advance Wars2
Metal Slug Advance
The Metroid games
Golden Sun
Golden Sun: Lost ages
warwagon

I'd wait to get one of these when they come out for under $200 then put a gameboy advanced emulator on it and any other kind of system emulator you want

the great thing about this as opposed to the PSP is they support and acctually encurage homebrewed apps like as in emulators and such, it also plays movies and music

Advance Wars/Advance Wars 2. The first time I played Advance Wars, I actually stopped playing PC games to play it. Brilliantly simple, and its a game that requires strategic thinking.
