BRAVO!!! When that's done Windows X, your Vista vs is declared officially awesome in my book.

Guys, on the subject of these Vista themes etc, I have a question. If I have icons that I want to use, which directory do I need to put them?
Added some time later: never mind, I got objectdock and that will save me alot of hassles.

Awesome work! When can we expect another release? Before Christmas I hope?!
Btw, what program did you use for editing visual styles?
Windows X
Dec 17 2005, 18:15
yaa, X'mas as a part of Vista Transformation Pack 3.0. I use StyleBuilder to make VS.
I tried modding it with a horizontal functional shellstyle (preview, etc ..) but I suppose it does look out of place on a vista theme.
Looking forward to your next release of it, Windows X.

it is .. but not quite like in the screenshot .. even WindowsX once did one I think, at least in one of the aero packages he did there was a functioning horizontal shellstyle at the bottom of the folder ...

well, an existing horizontal shellstyle isn't too difficult to modify, but the ones I've done all end up with a scroll bar along the side, which isn't like in Vista and I'd like to see one along the lines of the Vista shell as in the screenie - I'm sure it is possible ...
There are plenty of us here who like to have the preview pane & info panel - one reason I keep going back to ms royale - which even colours my office 2003 suite

yeah top/bottom shells are possible and used by many skinners
but not both at once

Dude, the main problem why I didn't make shellstyle big because it'll cause the wrong window size when using filmstrip mode. The larger top shellstyle is, the worse you'll see in filmstrip.
btw, should I apply IE7's tabitem to all themes?

Very nice, thanks WinX!!!! But I waiting for theme only pack too ^^
Windows X - thanks for a great Vista theme, only had one small problem with it.
The green/blue shellstyle bar is really bad quality imho (the file called "glassb2lShStAdditionalImage120") looks badly distorted with clearly visible lines and really needs smoothing out.
Just a thought

The shellstyle in the WB5 theme (aero style) is freaky crazy

. It gets bigger by just clicking something and sometimes it takes up half the explorer window. Can you make 2 bars instead of just one? The info bar at the bottom and the commands at the top?

On your next reformat, try installing VTP then. Maybe your present is too "cramped." That is what I did. Everything's fine here.
