No, it was a e-mail where the sender was the e-mail address of the person that sent it. You usually don't see the link when you get it, you have to reply and see the source of the page where the link will show up. Many other persons got invites from other people, only look at the first message of every live mail topic in the, well let's say two first pages of this forum, I'm sure you'll find some people that got it the same way than me. If there wasn't, why would the official invite thread partly concern live mail and not only messenger?

I'll let you answer this question...

lol sad to say either ppl are reserving their invites for a good trade, or there are jus very little left or none at all, and new invites probably wont be sent out for a while...=S

You also have to realise those of us who *just* joined can't magically boost up our number of posts past 1,000 in a matter of minutes without it being considered spamming. Maybe this was the first post that caught their eye and haven't gotten a chance to post anywhere else yet. I know myself I've been looking around the other forums, and have been looking for things that interest me. I know for a fact that I will be active, but I just joined and am doing my best.

I think invitations exist, sort of, I've got invited by someone here.... After validating my invitation, my hotmail account changed to 2GB but not to the Live Mail interface (btw been a couple of weeks now, and no new interface)

So it makes me think that only a small group is recieving and maybe the 2nd gen testers have to wait to test it

It's weeks or even a month before your Passport is being converted to the new Live Mail interface.. Happy waiting.. FYI, u will received an upgrade to 2gb of size, then followed by the new interface..

i also get the invitations of Windows Live Mail from MS, but when I send one to a friend, he can not see the link inside.

Should not be that way.. when I send it to my friend, it normal and he can click on the link to accept the invite.. Maybe u might want to ask him to confirm..
