If I remember, Windows Live Messenger invites are in no way linked to your account. However, Live Mail invites are.

you cant use messenger unless you've been invited, even if you download the client you still cant login unless your email address has been inivted but i may be worng. Mail inivtes i shouldnt think are linked ot accounts with that loverlyu little link that was floatin around

The link works perfectly well. You need to set your location to either U.S., U. K., Germany, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Japan, France, China, Canada, or Australia for it to work though.

im not too sure if Canada's in it. coz pages like ideas.live.com havent been updating for about two months for me. and a lot of times when I sign up to test some beta thing, they say I can't because I'm in Canada... also, i signed up for mail live invitation- they said it'll come in 2 weeks... it has been a month now...

anyway, just wondering if this invite thread is still working out... are people just posting emails or are the pm's going back...

Lots of bull**** going on the last few pages. Someone posted on another forum about this thread and now we get an influx of people joining just to get a invite, while people who have been here for a while are getting ignored.

It's sad that people are joining only for that reason. Although, I am only sending invites as i get them, to people who have been on this site for a while and have contributed. It is difficult when so many newcomers are posting for requests, which has drowned out the deserving members... Ah well... not much we can do about it.
