Hi everyone, well, my dad needed to change his dvd player. He has an old crt samsung 34' but its not widescreen. I told him to buy the samsung HD-850. I did the hack for component upconversion. There's a slighly better picture but not what i expected. Since all HD its widescreen and my dad's a 4:3 tv, theres a lot of lost space.

I'll hook it up my 32' widescreen crt samsumg tv and i'll let you know what happens.

By the way, anyone knows anything about oppo delivering a component upconversion dvd? I heard they will have component unpconversion in their new dvd player. I wrote them about a week ago but still no reply.
