I'm new here and didn't find anything about this in the Forum Rules, but are MSN Messenger Skins allowed here?
ThalSwe

blush.gif should've though of that. Judging by your sig, I take it that you skin MSN Messenger? If you do, could you help me with a little problem I'm having with a skin I'm making? I can't remove the border when I hover over the PSMPopupBtn. I managed to do it for the PSM textfield, but can't change the highlighting for the button. I've changed all of its parents (cmdbtn, msplitbtn, and psm) as well as every possible component found in UIFILE 923, but nothing at all seems to work. I also have the same problem with the sign-in status button, though I haven't done much with this yet. I've been trying to fix this for literally weeks but can't find anything. I suspect that the "highlighting" is a PNG, but even after I change all the probable files, nothing happens sad.gif

yeah i do skin msn, along with theunknown we make the messenger lab and make skins like wave 11 and mac msn. currently we are working on skinning wlm.

i can't give you a great deal of help on this off the top of my head as i spend 95%+ of my time on an Apple computer, such as now. however you need to find the button in the layout.. eg <element ... blah and then see what the class is. then do a search in the style section for that class. it should have different settings for mouse over, pressed etc. just edit it there as need.eg if its a border line around then just remove bordercolour: and borderthickness: tags.

im off to the beach tomorrow for 5 days so i won't be able to give you more assistance. sorry.
