Hi guys,

I had a good search about just now and i cant actually find out what samurize does?

I read up on the website, does it just allow you to make your icons bigger?

I am confused as some people have said you can make widgets with it

Thanks all.

Just realised what ive written..

What i actually meant to say is can you make icons bigger with it... and display sys info on them.. like cpu usage

And can you make your own widgets for system stats etc with it?

also

does it use huge amounts of memory

I am going to blow off at least one finger for what i wrote above... sad.gif

And thanks acedriver for a sensible answer to a dumb question

As you can se there: http://www.deviantart.com/view/25104299/
I have removed my DT Icons and put my own Icons with info under....
If it what you mean...
fungusman
Yes thats what i mean.

Can you do that using samurize? With information that is dynamic. (auto updates)

Btw that is one sweet desktop.

If by making icons bigger, yes ... you can do that within the config editor. Simply enlarge the icon as you would in any image editor, however, it cant make icons outside the editor any larger .. you need to do that with other software made for that purpose.

Samurize can display any ATI, Perfmon or WMI call that Windows have. Thats a TON of information if you want to display it. Widgits ( we call em configs ) are easy with the built in config editor. If you dont have the time to do your own, there are over 450 predesigned configs that you can use with the import config wizzard, making getting up and going a breeze. As far as memory usage, that will depend on the size of your config and refresh rates, but usually the actual usage is pretty low. Samurize does have a steeper learning curve than say Konfabulator and other widgits out there, but the ability to customize what you want blows the others out of the water

I hope that this has answered some of your questions rofl.gif
PM me if you have any questions

Okay,

I added a .sam no worries so its working ok..

I cant work out how to add configs though.. or dont they work by themselves?
dreamz
what do you mean by "add configs"? just put the ini files into the config folder and run samurize. right click the tray icon and select the one you want to use.

moved here
fungusman
Ahh i see.. didnt realise you had to move them into the folder, i thought you could import them like the .sam files somehow.

Thanks for the tip dreamz
