Hey im makin my own WMP11 winamp skin now and i need to make something transparant but how do i do that ? thx

already tried it didnt work i got grey blackish

That png's not transparent, you can see the edge. Open up photoshop or paint.net. Select a new layer, draw your shape, and opacitate it so that it's as transparent as you want it to be. Drag other layers onto it if you like, like the black gloss shape in the image above. Cut the image to the size you want and save as a .png. Ta-da-transparent png. If it's only the shape above, and if you want to post a mock of how transparent you want it against a background, I'll do it for you.

Did you save it as a PNG file?

yes i saved it as a png why is there a drifrence then ?

I didnt use a colord background.

I opend it up in photoshop set the sttings to transparent ( the white and grey things you see then )
Made it transparent and saved it.
