I'm going to Costa Rica for spring break and want a very small camera to bring with me... Small as in not SLR... I was looking into Sony's but heard Canon is the best. Price isn't really a problem but I don't want it to be bulky...
Around $500 is what I was lookin at but anything around there is ok... just want the best picture.

S80 is 1.5" thick... kinda big... as opposed to the Sony ones... isn't it?

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX9 is GREAT, very small, nice looking and takes amazing pictures. highly recommended!

Well ultimately best image quality is what I care about most... as long as its not a bulky SLR then that's all I really care about...
So the Powershot S80 for best pictures?

How about Sony DSC-N1 ?
For image quality, stick to Canon and Nikon.
