I think the very fact Frog Boy posted in Neowin (and not WinCustomize) was to show he had some idea that Neowin would be respectful to him and his product(s)/company.

Crack, Crack, Moan about paying for it... tgtsoft charges for a crack. Not only is it moronic to pay for a system hack, its unethical to charge for such an item. The only reason you support it is because you found someone else's crack that lets you use the product without paying for it.

I have nothing against msstyles or windowblinds. On my 2000 machine, I use windowblinds (and yes, I have an OB subscription w/ Cursor XP that i paid for). On my XP machine, I use msstyles.

It has nothing to do with speed. Your video drivers might need to be updated (I know there were issues with WindowsFX and certain cards). I have a GeForce 2 Ti, not a high end card. And it uses WB just fine with no issues. The 2000 machine is using some crappy HP onboard video that robs 8MBs from my ram -- WB has no issues.

We all rip Microsoft here (most of us, heh). But if Bill Gates personally posted to the site and offered personal show of kindness by, let's say, offering us beta-chances at Office 11 (or in this case, offering theme information Nintendo surely didn't send out).. I'd still be respectful even if I didn't like the product.

Frog Boy/Stardock, I have the utmost respect for your work (though I still wish CursorXP was part of the OB Subscription tongue.gif ) and hope this hasn't harmed the personal-level relationship between Neowin and yourself.

Get the files Here!

Download and unrar. File_a59ad284-d145-44fc-b12c-afd75f25c1b2_v-3.exe is to set up Objectdesktop Lite. Disregard if you don't need it. Now both folders contain the themes, (Gamecube & Sunshine) Rename whatever screen resolution .sdtheme you want to use to a .zip document, then unzip and you'll have the goodies...(Wallpaper, Icon Package, Windowblinds theme)...if you need further instructions BITE ME! Just jokin'...just inquirer and I'll hook you up.

ENJOY this amazing theme...all credits to Pixtudio they really kick butt!

P.S. I hope I didn't make this anymore confusing then it has to be it's 3:00AM here and I'm a little droggy.

Editted.

Nevermind. I'm sorry to have revived this topic. I was looking for the skins but have all ready found them. Last time I went looking, Prototype-B's download links weren't working and just noticed that they were.

Sorry mods if this revival bothers you.

Oh, you don't think with StarDock's abilities, they can't come up with MsStyles? In fact, they done it, but that FACT Microsoft doesn't like it much when Stardock did it!!!

Brad/Frogboy is just respectful to MS's wish and like "Ok, I am not going to modify your core OS files, just to accomplish what Tgtsoft claimed it's fame for".

Didn't you Windows XP Service Pack 1 users notice the patch by TGTsoft didn't work anymore?

Overall, WindowBlinds is a Safer way to skin. Tgtsoft = NOT as safe!

When a software that CAN DO MORE like this, it does not take a Rocket scientist to figure it will be little slower.

However, unless you are a SPEED freak, or you have a system that sucks ass, you won't notice much anyways.

Not on my 933MHZ Pentium III, anyway.

This man talks a lot of sense...I couldn't agree more with the points he makes... yes.gif

Just because its not slow on his system, doesnt mean its not gonna be slow on other peoples, besides this whole windowblinds vs stylexp thing is getting boring, who cares which is faster/better/has more features, if it works for you then fine, if it doesnt, use the other, stop whining on and on....
