8.0 mp for under $200? Isn't that insane? I see camera's everyday 5mp max for $200, why this crazy deal?
Pink Floyd
Simply because this is a no-name camera with a sensor from a no-name company. Personally, and I say personally, I'd never buy this camera
Achal
Internal Memory 16MB (12 MB for image storage)

thats a joke right??? lol for an 8 MP camera, they only give 16 MB???

i agree with pink floyd, probably a crappy plastic lense (over-exaggeration) so you will just get blurry/unclear pictures

I seeee.

sleeping.gif rolleyes.gif It doesn't make much difference how many megapixels anyway.

I really love all these "special" offers you see all over the web...
"OMGZ BUY OUR 12 MegaPIXLARS CAMURA!"
...and then you read the fineprint which says "12 Megapixels interpolated, 3 Megapixels effective".
The photos must look sooo good when they're blown up four times after being caught by a crappy no-brand sensor.
Now that my rant is over, I can only say that I agree with what Pink Floyd and many others have already said; stay away from that camera.

I thought megapixels is what you base your purshase upon? The higher the MP's, the bigger and crisper the pictures will be. Eh?

This has 8 effective megapixels.

It is but to a point. The camera lens is also a big part. If you have a crappy lens it doesn't matter how many mega pixels you have. Go with a brand of camera like Canon. They make really good stuff.

No, it's the size of the sensor that matters.

A tiny sensor that gets you 100mp will still produce crappy pictures.

that is one of the reasons why a DSLR 4MP like the old Nikon D2H will produce way better image quality than a 10MP P&S camera

Since when do P&S cameras have a native 10MP count anyway?
