Manchester United to win the Champions League. Wayne Rooney to top score. With a Hat-trick in atleast one game smile.gif

I feel Arsenal are going to take it this season. Even though I voted for Thierry Henry as top goal scorer... I don't think he is going to get it.

Henry is not in the team for tonights trip to Hamburg.

He picked up a foot injury v's Boro.

Steaua 0-3 Lyon
Real Madrid 5-1 Dynamo Kyiv
Benfica 0-1 Man. United
Celtic 1-0 København
CSKA Moskva 1-0 Hamburg
Arsenal 2-0 Porto

Arsenals playing style ftw.

I like Arsenal. I actually enjoy watching them play, and their fan's seem to know their stuff. I do not hate them like Chavski and Manure tongue.gif.

Hoping for a Liverpool win tonight against Galatasaray. Tonight's team:

Reina

Finnan
Carra
Agger
Aurelio

Pennant
Gerrard
Alonso
Garcia

Crouch
Kuyt

Great team! We should easily be able to do the job with these players. It will be interesting to see how Kuyt and Crouch work together though.
Lingwo
What a cracking goal by Crouch. smile.gif
I don't think he could have hit that any sweeter.
Krpano
Lyon is missing on the list.
And Fred is missing as top goal scorer too.
Martyn
Funny goal by Crouch, he did not mean it, he tripped over wink.gif. It was an exciting game anyway.

@ Krpano, Fred is a good player aint he. I like him, mainly because he was a God on FM and he has a funny name tongue.gif.

Hopefully the mod won't take out anyone that has a chance of winning tongue.gif

I would take out Celtic and Messi.

Although if I made the poll I would of included the likes of Eto'o, Gilardinho, Drogba, Adriano and Podolski instead of Kaka, Gerrard and Ronaldinho.

tongue.gif
Crazysah
I agree. Take out Ronaldinho as he dosen't score much in the CL and put in Drogba. But Ronaldinho has votes so take out Messi or Klose and put in Drogba.

If you want.. take out Celtic and put in Others.
Anyways.. lets not discuss the poll anymore lets discuss the Champions League now.
Crazysah
Arsenal losing 1-0 to CSKA Moscow in the first half.
Martyn
I expected Arsenal to have a tough time against CSKA, they are a good team, and have some good players in Akinfeev, Love and Carvalho. Even Liverpool had a tough time against them last year in the Super Cup (but we still won).
Conaire04
Brilliant result for Celtic, Come On The Hoops!
Kev1n
I expected Arsenal to have a tough game in Moscow. Looong trip, icy weather, pitch condition, plus CSKA are a good side. I didnt get to watch the game but it seems Henry had a perfectly legitimate goal ruled out for handball.
geek_rohit
Nice win for Manchester United. They played well, though the scoreline should have been better...like a 4-0 or a 5-0. But still Alan Smith is back, Rooney is playing well although he didn't score...again...but him wearing the skipper's armband was a welcome sight. smile.gif
Crazysah
Arsenal lost but I am still confident of a good result and top place in the group.
Martyn
Liverpool won smile.gif.

As did Chelsea against Barca, and to be honest I thought Barca would of beat them.
sharpy2k4
i was flicking between the 2 games tonight (liverpool and the chelsea game) and the difference in atmosphere between english based games and foreign based games is INSANE. i would hands down turn up to any game based in an english stadium, the atmosphere at Bordeuxs (sp?) ground was really weird, wasnt overly loud or quiet, but Chelseas was really overwhelming and thats what i think makes football more exciting.

Anyway, i think liverpool didnt play that well tonight and were lucky with the win

and chelsea,i reckon should of ended in a draw smile.gif
Brodel
woot woot, won 14 quid on drogba to score first. smile.gif
geek_rohit
Ahhh...crap! I thought Barca will definately win today...this will fire up Jose Mourinho. Damn!

It was mad. There werre only like 2000 Liverpool fan's and you could hear them singing Fields Of Anfield Road all night, even if it was quiet due to the lack of away fans.

The French aint that passionate about football.
Shibby
The sound we hear also depends on stuff like if the company doing the coverage that day put any mics on the side of the pitch.
I know BBC and Sky do.
Batfink
I think you will see 3 of the 4 UK teams getting Into the last 8... Personally I think they will be Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd.

I won't predict beyond that other than to say... At least one will get to the final.

1/2 time in Istanbul... All you could hear was you'll never walk alone!!

are celtic no longer a UK team ?
Crazysah
Celtic are a UK team and I disagree leebobs. I think Arsenal will get into the last 8.
PaulCabby
I think that all the UK teams will go through
Crazysah
Yeah. Except maybe just the odd 1 or 2.

and Arsenal and Liverpool do biggrin.gif
Brodel
I hope all the British teams go through, I'd love to see Chelsea completely dick Barca at the Neu Camp too... and that's from a Fulham fan.
Rappy
In a way I hope Barca do over Chelsea tonight because I hate Chelsea but there we go...biggrin.gif
Brodel
This bloody ref is ruining the match, constantly stopping it, letting free kicks and throw ins be taken miles away from where they were conceded, missing blatant dives and clear fouls. The players are being pretty childish too, hopefully half time will settle things down a bit. A. Cole incident was a bit of a mess too, he should have been more clear that the first card was for Lampard and not Cole. Great goal by Deco by the way.
Rappy
What a Travesty!!!....only 5 minutes played out of 6....Drogba scoring a goal after he shouldn't be on the pitch the little play actor...Everything went Chelseas way...Referee I think wasn't even real he lost control and never got it back.
Martyn
Liverpool played very well biggrin.gif.

First time we have not changed the team for 100 matches tongue.gif.
