Neobond
Following a suggestion by bangbang023 we added this just now.
Supports most newer browsers, you'll see the search area (drop down) change color meaning you could add Neowin as a Search choice.

[attachmentid=170418] for Firefox

[attachmentid=170419] for Internet Explorer 7

Enjoy!
Joel
It only changed colour for me in the main page, in case someone says it doesn't work in the forums. The search WILL work, but you must go to the main page to get it detected for addition in your browser. After that, it searches the whole site, forum and all.

Indeed, we'll probably add it to the forums as well when we go through the upgrade process to IPB 2.2

Oh this is great. It's so good I added the search bar back into Firefox. Something I haven't used in ages. THANKS!
bangbang023
Thanks to all the guys who got this working. TheDecyptor fixed an error in my original file and DaveLegg and Marshalus both worked ot get it up on the site. I have to admit, OpenSearch is so much better than the old Firefox search engine format.
Ferret
Working nicely, thanks chaps - Much better.

Ah my love of Opera never ends, I've had something like this since I joined, but it's nice now that when I'm using IE7 or FF2 for something I have this option. biggrin.gif

I wish Opera supported OpenSearch. I just have to add it myself I guess.

Thanks for adding this though smile.gif

Oh yeah, it's great OpenSearch was adopted by both IE and Firefox (although Firefox has some changes), i really would love to see it supported in every browser. yes.gif

I don't know if it would be integrated into Opera. Every time I ask in the IRC channel or forum, the thread kinda dies hmm.gif.

This is just a little something that makes you like a browser just a bit more (I have a little more respect for IE7 just because of this ability).

Interesting. smile.gif

Of course, I never use the search bar (so I have it removed), but it's a great idea for those who do. smile.gif
