for a while i had debated between the S770 and the Z1000... i ended up with the Z1000 because of the sale price on circuit city.. $270 + 10% off for AAA members.

i had a question regarding the picture sizes and the mega pixels.

3648 x 2736
3648 x 2432 (3:2)
3648 x 2048 (16:9)
2560 x 1920
2048 x 1536
1600 x 1200
640 x 480

those are the support resolution rates... say i choose to take my pictures in 1600x1200, does that mean the picture quality is 10mp?
that sounds like a really off question hmm.gif

or does the 10mp simply mean that i'm able to take pictures in that high of a resolution? will taking pictures in different resolutions make a difference in my picture quality?

For me i think 1600x1200 would work best simply because i wouldn't have to resize the pictures and it's already large for any monitor screen.

1600x1200 = 1920000 aprox 2Mp
3648 x 2736 = 9980928 aprox 10mp
2MP should be fine I guess, and unless you plan to stretch them out...

I think you would get a lot more detail if you shot at higher resolution then scale it down.
