well i have the A540 and i love it.. and what i love most about it that you don't normally see in most point and shoot cameras is the ability to be completely manual, meaning there is a manual option to adjust ANYTHING you want or need, rather than just having some presets built in. But i'm not really sure which is better as i only own the A540, try reading up on the specs or some reviews.

I saw a couple of camera rating websites and it seems that the SD600 is rated better than the A540... I still need to make a choice ... sad.gif

And I still can't make up my mind.

it's hard to choose. Because you want a P&S camera, you probably want a big and nice lcd screen to show your shoots. In that case, the best choice is the SD600. In the other hand, the A540 has the Aperture and shutter speed priority modes which the SD600 doesn't have.

Personally, I wouldn't live without these modes but my guess is that you will never use them. It's more used by photographers using DSLR like I do.

All and all, if I were you, I'd buy the SD600, unless you have other brand in head..

I checked what these modes do, since I had no idea what they do... and since the A540 is cheaper... I think Ill go for the A540 cuz the Shutter speed and aperture size modes seem quite interesting... and I am a fan of photography smile.gif

A540... I guess...

Good choice then. You will soon find what they do and will buy a DSLR hahahahahahaha shifty.gif
