As I walked down further the oak lined path where I was I heard the pecking of yet another woodpecker; this time a male with the red plumage on its head. It gave me its back first.


But it suddenly looked off to its right and I snapped this capture.

Niec pictures! We have these flying around our house all the time.

They do look sort of cuddly don't they? Thanks for commenting.

They are few and far between around from what I can tell so I feel lucky even though the shots didn't turn out as well as I wanted. Thanks for the comments.
