Hello everyone,

I'm soon going to release the Multi Info meter gadget which will be able to give you information of your system. The main updates compared to my multi meter gadgets are based on temperature sensor reading and fan speeds etc...
At present, the gadget is taking a little more ressources than i expected but its still underneath 1%
Unfortunately the use of a third party software will be needed to be able to read the temps and the fan speeds, I wish i could stay that the job was done with Speedfan or Mbm5 but it will be Everest. (this is only temporary as i'm already developping a speedfan version)
Finally its already very stable at present but didn't do the setting part yet and docking/undocking part, ths is why i will only hand it out in around 2 weeks....

The reason of this post is not only to inform the fans of my gadgets but surely to get some feedback from you guys.

- What type of information do you need / don't need?
- Any suggestions or critics are allowed wink.gif
- Do you prefer smaller like normal multi meter gadgets?
- etc...

Please feel free to give me some comments...

Other pictures are available on my board (smaller version etc...): Link

I hope the gadget does everything else without having to install everest. Everest no longer has a freeware option. Speedfan doesn't have a version fully compatible with Vista. Mbm5, I haven't tried.
Basically, combine everything you already have (memory, cpu, hdd space) and add on fan speeds and temps. That should be enough for a first version. Also, make sure to be able to customize how often the app updates. Finally, if one chooses to display 3/5 options, the gadget should use 3/5 of the memory it would when everything was checked. In other words, the gadget should not monitor when told not to display an option.
Keep up the good work SFkilla!

Hey slimy,

Unfortunetaly everest is used for fan speeds and temps.... other infos are available without everest ultimate installed.
Like you say about the other progies... Nothing is perfect with only one solution. I tried already with all the known softs like speedfan (bug & stopped wmi & not enough ressources), mbm5 (not updated anymore and difficult to relate it to the sidebar), hmonitor is ok, i could manage to get the temps, fans etc...without problems but again, only with the pro version of hmonitor which isn't free, cpucool guys gave me some help but only c++ limited, etc....for the others.

So at present, i will use Everest because its the best info source than i've been playing with (really amazing), but i won't push anyone to buy everest, i will just try to do without everest as soon as possible. wink.gif

Also thanks for the suggestions for the Multi Info gadget
