My main hobby is photography and I want to travel and take more on location shots. I currently have the Canon Rebel XT , canon 17-40mm, canon 70-200mm f/4, canon 50mm f1.8 ... Out shooting switching lenses seems dangerous and very annoying when I'm trying to capture a different type of shot. I can pick up another XT for $500 on newegg... I was wondering how well a 2nd XT would work out.. maybe have the 70-200mm on one and the 17-40mm on the other.. And I could switch back and forth.. From what I have seen in the field from professionals, that is what the do, have more than 1 camera. I look forward to your input.

How can it be dangerous to switch lens. Just bring your case, or get a backpack type camera bag and your lens caps ect...you'll be fine.

Of course having two cameras will be easier, as long as you dont mind lugging them around along with the rest of your gear.
