Anyone else having problems with the mouseover on "Log off' and "shutdown"? Also, in the screenshot it says "Turn off computer". On my computer it says "shut down"... This must be why.
Edit: I have the classic logon screen. So it must be a bug?

Update: Altered Start menu to allow for the text length changing. Unfortunately this means losing the 'buttons' on the lower pane and replacing them with icons.

The text will read "Turn off computer" if you don't log into a domain. I assume you're buggering around with your work computer? I do it, too. So far IT hasn't gotten mad at me...
Awesome VS

Thanks for this, always loved the new office 2007 style

You should set the Toolbar Fillcolor to the same value as the Menubar (193 202 216 in the blue style). Otherwise it looks odd in some programs (grey toolbar background).

Text reads "shut down" for a classic logon no matter what, since I don't have a domain at home. Maybe because i turned fast user switch off
I AM using this VS at work though, and it confuses the heck out of IT folks logging in remotely (like one did today to troubleshoot an issue I had). They're like, uh u got Vista on here!!
I hate working on generic Windows tho!

Thx hornett for the update.

Congratulations on the release! I'm using it right now.
One minor thing though. I just don't like the start button for the blue version.
Issues:If you use the startbar at the top like I do...

The max(?) doesn't show correctly...

That is why the traditional start button is there!
As for the max button, not sure why that is. Thanks for the report. Which app is that?

Not sure if it's a bug but it's been bugging since I've been using this vs : scrollbars looks misaligned (or too small by 1 pixel to the left).

App is Photoshop. Those windows are the toolbar type windows. The max doesnt show properly and also it's obvious in the black one... when focus is taken away from the windows, the X button still looks like it would on a focussed window. There probably just needs to be new resources for the toolbar type windows for the Max and the X buttons... i am not that knowledgeable

You could probably just make those look like the styles pane in word 2k7

Those are the size 6 glyphs for the buttons. You shift the normal sized buttons and that glyph moves as well. Only the small close button is independent. Most likely you need to undo shifting of your buttons, the glyph will return to its place.
And nice work

Here's a mod I did of the Blue (traditional start button) theme using some bmp images from a few different themes from the past which some of you may recognize. They fit nicely overall with the core of this vs. The colors are very soothing and easy on the eyes.

Just posting here to say that I really like this VS. It's actually the first VS I've used in over 3 years (I've been on Luna blue for just too long). The black substyle also goes very well with the black theme in Office 2007. I now just need a new icon set (following the style set by Office 2007) and wallpaper to go with this theme. This also seems to be the most usable of the black themes with redesigned start buttons.
This VS is very nice and was easily adopted by everyone in the family. I personally feel that there's more refinement left in the author with respect to this theme. For me I wish there were a darker shade of compatible blue for the taskbarbackground /taskbartray. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the blast of Office blue on the screen. Yet, there's no denying it. This is a well crafted visual style. Kudos!

But it appears to not support large font, i.e. 120DPI or above. Can you please fix this? It'll be my permanent theme if it supports large fonts.
