here's what i mean by that:
http://img470.imageshack.us/img470/9343/untitled2sc2.jpgit only happens when i set the icons to large but it's very annoying. how do i make those icons bigger and how do i get rid of the box around them?

Yes! This is really crappy, and ruins it for me to use bigger icons.

hi this aint working for me i get the message "you need permission to preform this action" IM THE ADMINISTRATOR!
Vista's security is so up its own ass it even blocks the administrator from doing simple tasks!
if you know how to get past this i would be very greatful as I have another problem where I need permission to delete a folder (Vista has decided to hold on to some faulty drivers and wont let me get rid of them!) but thats for another thread.

Even though you are an admin, you still need to right click on it and click on "Run as admin"
Replacer doesn't appear to work in Vista, even with elevated privalages. I just installed today, so I guess I'm looking for a solution to this... (it is relevent).
Thanks!

Just take ownership of the file you need to replace... Right click > Properties > Security > Advanced...

the border only comes when you have icons larger than medium. The program should work as long as you right click and run as administrator. Also, I think there's a thread somewhere in the forum about getting Vista to run admin as if in Xp.

I renames the orignal file and replaced it with this one. Works great.
