VS or WB?

I like, I say go for it - this was a popular one when it came out. I'm sure a newer one would be far from a waste of your time.

I like the buttons and the tabs, so even though you don't have a mock up of the start menu or taskbar, I say go for it.

Already tried a Vista style taskbar combo, didn't look right... Eventually settled on keeping the button elements in the theme consistent instead.

will u be doing any different colours as well or just that, and will u do us a beta please?

Beta will come once I have all the graphical elements outlined and sliced up. It's still just conceptual at the moment

Looks awesome so far. But the power/logoff buttons should be normal sized. Not everyone wants to use large icons in their start menu.

I don't have them anymore unfortunately; got raided under suspiscion of counterfeiting a while back (no proof in the end), and lost everything in the process

Someone here might still have a copy of the originals.

Maybe multi-colour (black, brown, red) ?

You should make the LogOff and Shutdown buttons similar in size and shape as the Flag icon in the upper top right of the Start Menu. The ones currently shown are too BIG. Just my thought. Otherwise the style is looking very GOOD!!!

The font looks crappy. I've seen many good themes which I refused to use because of the font...

Just stick with Tahoma. Or include it as an option.

It's just because of the anti-aliasing options in FireWorks. The font is Segoe UI, which is very usable as many themers have proved. Tahoma will be available as an option, though.

Also there are size restrictions on logoff button size.. Id suggest u start putting it into an actual VS before u waste time designing things that you just arent going to be able to pull off in the real world.

This is why I hate mockups.

Yeah, well I hate large, bloated, garish WindowBlinds themes, and yet certain people seem to love making them so... I guess we don't all get what we want.

Also, I think it's my decision whether or not I view mocking up a theme with all of the elements done and dusted before insertion into StyleBuilder a "waste of time".

Just stopped by to see the update, looking good. Doing a fine job with this....even though it's a mockup. I hope you'll be able to pull it all off in SB. Good Luck. =)

I have two requests, if possible make a compact start menu, and if possible make a black version. I love the theme just the blue color is more of a turn off for me.

I have 2 questions.

1. Is it possible to have the theme this color but all the buttons turn white?
2. Minimal start button?


I would never stop using the theme if those were included.
But Im still dling it soon as its ready anyhow.

1- it would be nice to have just the flag as the start button
2- im not a fan of compact start panel you should include also a full start panel
