Ok Im not a fanboy or anything like that. But I perfer to use olympus over the other cameras ive used. Ive had 2 olmypuses so far. But never had the cash to get a dslr.

I was wondering if anyones used an Olympus Evolt - 410 ? because that and the Olympus - E-330 were going to be my cameras of choice to buy. One is for my everyday shooting, the other was for photoshoots, and weddings. I know I could get more bang for my buck, but I really don't need anything extravagant.

Also I do not like canons. Ive used them before and just never appealed to me.
So any advice on Olympus DSLRS, or anything of equal value would be a great help to me.

Don't bother with the live view SLR, you don't need it. The S3 pro is a popular choice for weddings, you might be able to get one of those cheap. You could also try getting a manual SLR off eBay for peanuts first and using that for a month so you get the hang of it.

Thnx for the info Antsy. But Now I have a larger budget and can spend $1000 USD on a dslr.

I was looking into Canons and Nikons. Id rather get a nikon cause otherwise I have to spend more to get a canon shipped in. But which is better brand and has advantages? I want to make sure I dont make a mistake in buying one. I was originally going with a D80 But I can get more with something as a D70 and get some filters and more memory then by time i can save up for the d80.

I'd get the D80. If you are satisfied and later, want to invest more, you can buy the new Fuji S5 yummy!!

+1 for Nikon.
I own a D50 and still learning...
Don't get the D70 nor D70s, just go ahead and get the D80, which, has better processing, more megapixels ( yeah I know...) and has simply more features. You could buy the D80, and then some filters, lenses etc. In the end What made me decide was my upgrade path. EG. Whenever I plan to upgrade my camera I'm going to do so with the same brand. So if you already have compatible lenses for olympus, I'd say go with that. If not, go nikon and l,ike pink floyd states, you can later buy Fuji S5 ( upgrade to the s3, which you'll find is wedding photographers fav.) and you'll have 2 bodies + lenses
