So I finally got Vista up and running it would seem I actually got 2 bad sticks of memory.
I exchanged them and installed and downloaded updates no problem.
So to day I go to see if a new CAD comic is up and it loads like 10% of the image at a time and takes about 10 sec or so to load.
Is this a Vista config/setting that I need to change?
A tweak that needs to be applied?
I ran a speed test on DSL reports and got 7mb down and 500k up.
Any suggestions would be great.

Does screen resolution have an effect?
I went from a tube monitor at 1024x768 to a Samsung 931BF at 2048x1024?
For some reson I figured it hd no effect on how fast web pages loaded?

LOl k so I tried lowering rez and no effect I should have guessed it had nothing to do with it.
I also tried Firefox and that was actually worse. With fire fox teh front page took like 1min to load. I also compared to Penny Arcade which compared to image size took about the same time. It was slower than on my XP machine too.
it's probably just the site. also, your monitor is NOT 2048x1024. if it were, it would be extremely wide (when i say "extremely," i mean 2x as wide as it is tall). google says it's 1280x1024.
