Me too, I have the maximum transparency theme working just fine but I can't get this to appear whatsoever.
Got it working, not very good if you have a light colored wallpaper because of the white font on start menu and its has same name as "Windows Aero" for me? So pick the "Windows Aero" at the top for the theme.

You should have renamed the theme.
Basically, I showed two "Windows Aero" themes when I installed this.....One was the normal Aero Glass, one was this.
This didn't fit in with any of my backgrounds. And I did not like the transition to maximized, but it's nice to see some themes released.

Is there an easier way to apply this theme. I don't know what three files need to be replaced in C:\Windows\System32 or how to do it.
_0_0_, read this first:

Beware of the UXTheme patch if you use dual monitors...I just applied it, and it screwed up my restore down/maximize button. Whenever I tried to maximize the window, it would cause the window to maximize across both screens and when I tried to restore down, it maximized it back down to one screen. It wouldn't minimize my windows, either. So, it's kinda screwy.
I liked the visual style...just couldn't deal with that ^ problem.

I just installed the hybrid and even on a white background my start menu still has a black tinge to it, is there something I need to set? In fact there doesn't appear to be any difference between that and the Maximum Transparency theme. i really like the clear start menu, looks awesome.

Don't be stupid. Look to the top of the page, you'll see this "

Great theme Dr. Taher, it seems better than Jemaho's hilledSE after using it for a long while since. This is how I really imagines rtm to be during the beta stages yet it magically came true. Anybody up to create a beta 1 theme because that was also a very good style.

It looks like normal Areo, only with the transparency tweaked.
