I need to lock detached sidebar gadgets from sidebar to desktop (Like avedesk). Any process to do so?

This is one feature that I dont know why Microsoft never thought of including... anyone know?

I said to lock the gadget, not to place. That means the gadget would not to be dragged from desktop. Ave desk has this option.

i'm only asking this here because it seems like a similar enough problem.

is there a way to make it so sidebar gadgets don't minimize when you hit windows+d to minimize all the windows? like, rainendar has a function to make it "at desktop level", so even if you use a hotkey to minimize everything, rainlendar will remain opened.

No there is no way. The only thing you can do i use windowsKey + m

actually, i managed to find the answer to my problem on that huge, 13 page vista tips and tricks topic.

one ofhte users made a program called "pinner" that does exactly that: it pins programs to the desktop so they remain open even when all programs are minimized.
