I am using longhorn server 2008 ctp june ,actually it is a ctp version of beta 3.
I could use the three patched dll files to replace the system file ,
after path ,it seems i still couldn't use other visual style ,and i have tried the vistaglazz, still
doesn't work ,is it possible to use a visual style on longhorn server 2008 ?
thank you .

where are you getting said dll files from? (xp, 2003, vista)
are you replacing the files in safe mode
are you disabling system file protections so it doesnt replace your changes with a back up file
why do people insist on running a server os as a desktop

1)the three dlls are :shsvcs.dll ,themeui.dll ,uxtheme.dll, they are from vista.
path methods see here2) longhorn server 2008 was much faster than vista ,use less resource .
why can't i use it as a desktop ?
at least it can be my personal workstation.
thank you !

Install Desktop Experience from the DVD, use your Vista driver for your video card, then enable Aero.

If no one's made a patched uxtheme.dll for this particular version you probably can't use custom msstyles
