Ho can i get Quick time from taking control of all web content in firefox. i un-checked everything in Quick time, but it still tries to play everything

Same here, ive got a similar thread going. I dont know how to fix it. Windows shows that mpeg is supposed to run WMP, but firefox still plays it in quicktime. In IE7 it works fine

Same here. QuickTime also insists on playing background sounds in webpages (MP3 or WAV). It's not as noticeable anymore as a lot of sites use Flash now. I've just gotten used to it.

Hope that helps. If not, just try this extension which will let you modify MIME types not shown in the normal dialog.
