I just went to Cachefly (http://www.getautopatcher.com/) to download Autopatch 5.6 updates and they have the May 07 Core, the July 07 Updates, and the July 07 Extras for 2K/XP/2K3. But no June 07 Updates.

1) Are the June updates included in the July Update or do I need both (I'm assuming both)?

2) Even though the July Extras are listed under each OS, is it actually the same file and it only needs to be downloaded once - or is there a different Extras version for each OS?

Thanks,
John

you need the june release too, not all mirrors mirror all of our releases

they're same files, there are currently 5 different addon packs: extras, xp mce2005, xp wmp10, dx x86, dx x64

Thanks for the quick response.

Just an FYI, but your June download pages for XP & 2K both point to Cachefly.

I do understand this is a volunteer effort and it's a whole lot of stuff to try and keep track of - so I am absolutely NOT complaining. I'm just giving you the info, fixing or deleting the links may be so far down the priority list that this minor issue may never get dealt with - it was easy enough for me to just go to a different mirror.

Thanks again for all the work you and all the others do for people like me.

oh, well i guess cachefly decided to remove the june release at some point. never mind, i can't be bother to go back and remove them, i'm working on a release management system for our website as i speak so it won't be long until i can do such things with a couple of clicks rather than the hassle it is now.

Thanks for your feedback smile.gif Every month the previous release is usually deleted and replaced with a current version.

Hi major4579,

Oddstar,

Not sure what you are quoting, but the missing June version is NOT a previous version, it contains the patches MS released in June. The July update ONLY contains the patches MS released in July (for the most part). After a Core release, ALL subsequent Updates are needed.

In other words:

Current Version = (May 2007 Core + June 2007 Updates + July 2007 Updates)

There is no replacing a 'previous' version with a 'current' version.
