Hi, I found this site on a link through the big [H]. I DL'ed LogonStudio and ran it with the stock images for bootup and shutdown. The problem I am having is that the colors wash out during the bootup and shutdown sequences. System specs are: Biostar NF325A7, AMD 3400+ NewCastle (Socket 754), 2X 1Gb Patriot PC4000 (Dual Channel), Saphire X800GTO (AGP) 256mb---bios flashed to 16 pipes, Creative Audigy2 ZS Platinum w/internal Live Drive, close to 1 terabyte of HDD's, and a 22 inch widescreen monitor running at 1680 X 1050 resolution.

1. The Big H is a big N (Neowin).
2. Are you talking about a boot screen or a logon screen?
3. Boot screens can only have 16 colors and a res of 640 x 480

When I said "the big [H]" I was refering to hardforum.com
I am going to say the light blue "Welcome" screen to XP. I do not use a password logon, I just boot straight into windows. I get the same pic when I shut down my PC, as when I boot up.

That's the logon screen. Maybe it's due to your somewhat unsual screen res. I don't know if LogonStudio scales the images properly...

I know where the stock windows logon screen is, and I used LogonStudio to change it. After changing it, the pic that LogonStudio put in it's place is the one that is distorted. LogonStudio's pics are either not filling the entire screen or the colors are washed out. My screen res is not an unusual one, it is the native res for my 22" widescreen monitor (as well as just about every other 22" widescreen).
