My Operating System : Windows Vista Ultimate
Browser : Internet Explorer 7.0.6000

When I want to enter any secure site :: starts with ( https: //www.example.com )

I get an certificate error :

It is annoying that every time that this page appears and I need to click ( Continue to this website (not recommended). )

I tried to install the certificate in the "Trusted Root Certification" , but I didn't know how to install it !

Examples of this sites are Windows Live Mail , Yahoo Beta Mail , Gmail

This happened to me for a while on my DoD websites. What you need to do is install the certificate offered by that web page. However though I never had an issue with Windows Live Mail or something. You may want to go to your security settings and add those websites as trusted websites, and just generally explore how you've got your browser set up. Press alt, tools, internet options, security. Then highlight trusted sites and click the button that says "sites". Just type in the url to the site you want to allow and add a "/*" to the end of the address to allow similar security for any subfolders and subfiles of the site. Here a screenshot example of what I would put in to allow for example the Army website.

You can disable this in the advanced tab in the internet options...

Check on Windows Update and see if there is an optional update called Root Certificate Update. This should stop those errors.
