What software can I use edit/write metadata in photographs so it avaliable when the properties are viewed through explorer?

Hi, Photoshop can edit EXIF data through the File dialogue as well as Vista (right click properties) - these are the easiest methods and quickest but there are lots of 3rd party tools that can edit Exif data too!

That's not possible.

IPTC info such as copyright and everything can be embedded by a DSLR camera (and not edited after) for example but standard exif data is editable by all.

Also resaving the image to a web-pallette JPEG or any other image format loses all exif/meta data. The only one that keeps it is Tiff images.

The solution here is to plaster your copyright info on the image itself in Photoshop so it's physically not possible to rmeove it, think eBaumsworld tongue.gif
