I got a Samsung Digimax Cyber530 in summer last year. Sadly, I don't use it much because it wastes to much power.
It has problems turning off - runs out of power so the lens can't retract, and turning off just as you take the shoot button. sad.gif

I took it back to the store and the person there said that it was because of the LCD screen and that it has no normal eye hole thing. He suggested I got some rechargeable batteries, which I did and I'm still having problems with it running out.

Is there anything I can do to stop it wasting the batteries so quickly or should I take it back?
and do all of this model do this or is it just mine?

If it doesn't work well enough to be of any use - it's faulty!

Can you turn the preview screen off when taking a picture? My Olympus Mini mju digital is the same - no viewfinder.

Your right! I think I'll take it back to the store.

Nope.

what kind of batteries do you use with your camera? You could try some heavy usage accumulators (with a high value for mAh) which you can recharge but if it is faulty they won't help much.

Ni-MH Rechargeable 1300mAh, what the guy in the store recommended, so if the camera isn't faulty, and it's just the batteries, it's his fault. tongue.gif

I have some nimh 2000mAh radioshack batteries for all of my devices. Something w/ more mAh will last a lot longer.
