I borrowed this camera from my friend for the weekend to take some photos for a mate's band and now that I'm trying to put the pictures on the computer via USB I'm not getting anywhere.

I plugged the camera in via USB and it appears in My Computer (after a few refreshes), but when I open it, it appears blank and I can't access the camera properties or anything like that.

Anybody have any ideas?

And no, I don't have a card reader, nor any intention to buy one.

Thanks in advance,

karl

You could always download the Canon software from their site.

yea, install the canon software or let have the stupid camera wizard recognize the camera. are you sure yous psu can handle the extra usb-connection? try another usb-port aswell smile.gif

Yeah, that camera for some odd reason won't show up as a regular "browsable" folder. If you have photoshop, use it to "import pictures from camera" or something like that, or maybe try a windows wizard to get the pictures from the camera.
The software from canon won't do the browsing either as it relies on windows explorer to do it...

Weird, huh?

i can explore my camera just fine when it's connected....

Totally over it, I'll just give it back to my friend and he can get the photos for me..
I'm so lazy ^_^

If you took a lot of photos it takes explorer a bit to recognize them all. Like, 2 minutes, tops.
