Can anybody log into anything related to their Windows Live ID? Windows Live Messenger won't sign in, and Mail won't authenticate during a send/receive. Xbox.com and social.zune.net seem slow and unresponsive as well.

Same issue here. I've tried logging into multiple Live services and all give up, give a script error, or don't connect at all.

Yup, cant log into Messenger, first my messages weren't being sent and then it just logged me off entirely and I haven't been able to get on since.

I'm getting the exact same problems on the entire Live service. I was having a really important conversation with a client while all of a sudden MSN just signs me out. Hopefully it happened on their side as well so I don't look like some sort of rude prick

yeah, i cannot sign in to messenger through windows and xbox 360... no hotmail..

I'm getting a 'Server Busy' message now while trying to log into hotmail.

Yes, services are down since 10 minutes

I was logged out of Messenger about 20 mins ago but it auto-reconnected 10 mins ago and i'm able to chat away with contacts online..

Ditto! Couldn't connect at home this morning and same deal at work. Grr

This is making me consider cancelling my paid hotmail service, I rely on having access to my email all the time.

You could try having it auto-forward mail to a gmail account, say. Assuming the mail servers didn't die, then that would work for this little blip.
Plus, you can set up that gmail account to send as your hotmail's address.

Everything has been fine and dandy for me though.

LOL That pages hasn't been updated since Messenger 7.5, I've NEVER seen it change since the launch of Live and it's services.

Just signed back in successfully. Let's see how long this lasts.

Windows live is not working, have to say pretty crap for a company that gets loads of money lol

This is just great. I'm expecting important email and it's all going to my @live.com.au account.
I'm going back to my ISP based email system after this all clears up.

Grrr. Multi-Billion dollar company, redundant links, clustered servers and this happens.

lol what's everyone complaining about, nothing is perfect and this hasn't happened in awhile. Just more time to do other stuff.

The hotmail, MSN, Live servers are not all in one place they are server clusters based out of several locations.
If part of the cluster fails or has issues it can give log on issues such as we are experiancing

PS yes MS knows there are issues the call volumes increased hugely near 5:00 pm EST

i use gmail but my messenger was down

i couldn't get Windows Live Messenger to work but it is now, didnt check xbox or anything yet.

I tired a different live logon (one that I created only last week) and it's working fine. Obviously some of the servers are down...last time this happened only certain servers were offline which affected only a handful of user accounts.

EDIT: I just logged in with my normal account

i am still unable to log into my msn messenger. anyone do anything special to fix it?

I thought that it was all fixed now. Anyway, that is not a very nice think to have happen to you. I do really hope that Microsoft doesn't let this happen again, unless if it is for an emergency.

Is it still down for anyone? I get error code 80048826 and nothing has been working for the past week.

Error 80072745 is what i get either way its not working for me (since a few hours ago)
