Hi, I'm root in a FreeBSD box.

I think that now its time to upgrade php, mysql, apache and freebsd system files... What is the best method ? Installing the latest freebsd iso in another server or is it possible to get a good stable box after an upgrade in the same old box installing the new packages of everything?

Do you guys know a good website with all the steps 1-by-1 to upgrade a freebsd box to the latest freebsd version?

Thank you.

if you want to stick wit the release version you have easiest way would be to update the ports collection (using which ever method you use) and updating that way.

I tend to use portsnap, and i have portupgrade installed, so its just a case of pkg_version -v - which tells me whats up to date and whats not, and away i go smile.gif
