ive been looking at it
Dont know how too tho, is there any Bios for my laptop or anything in windows to overclock my Processor


Got an Presario V6640ED

if u look that up u will get all details

its an AMD Athlon X2 1800MHZ Turion processor

Most laptops dont have overclocking options in the bios. Overclocking a laptop isnt a good idea, they're already hotter than desktops.

what do you mean "is there any Bios for my laptop "... of course... and overclocking is no good for it... as


said .... it gets hotter on over clocking, and laptop cpu's are not well ventelated....

so its not a good idea....

Without notepal for ex. overclocking is NOT good, but if you still want to try you can check this out:

BE CAREFUL

I wouldn't recommend overclocking laptops. The advanced heat it produces will cook a laptop even more than normal. The performance gains on average would be minimal at best.

I just got on neowin after some while
i managed to clock it without making it hotter (vista score is 0.5 higer ) its on 3.0 now.. and i got it on the same readings with heat etc

i used Ntune since there is an Nvidia Nforce chipset and a Nvidia graphics card

i didnt do anything dramatic tho... so dont worry.... yet

another n00b thinking he can make his Comcrap run decent

yeah.., well i got it wrong.. sorry... the videocard didnt really like me afterwards..

it still works but i have standard clocks again.. dont wanna risk it ever again XD

OC'ing laptop is not a good idea. The most important thing being that its difficult to get better cooling for it.
