Hi

I came across a theme pack that allowed me to change my startup Pearl Orb..
I created a backup of the orig file, replaced with the fixed one.
Now vista starts runs the post and thats that, not even the startup sound,screen stays black.

any help please..

Boot into safe mode and put it back to the original? I think that's what any sane, computer-literate user would do...

The same issue as above is it will run through safe mode but then the screen stays black.
I can move the cursor around but thats it.

if you have a vista disc, boot into that and select repair > restore
